abstract = {This article shows that quality nouns of the type "ceguera" can be traced back to Latin nouns of the type (aegritudo) ocularia. The hypothesis of a Latin origin is also corroborated by the wide diffusion of quality nouns of this type, ranging from Friuli and Tuscany to Portugal.},
